What is a Podiatrist

Podiatrists are physicians specializing in the foot, ankle and lower leg. Podiatrists provide both surgical and non-surgical care of the foot and ankle. They attend 4 years of College, 4 years of Podiatric Medical School and then complete a 3 year surgical residency program at an accredited Hospital around the country. They are also referred to as Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Podiatric Surgeons or Foot Doctors.

At Podiatry Inc. all of our doctors have completed multi-year surgical residencies, attaining the highest level of competence in their field. This is demonstrated by their certification by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. We have advanced surgical training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma surgery and diabetic surgery, along with extensive training in sports medicine, wound management, infectious disease of the foot and ankle, pediatric and geriatric care. We are the Podiatrists of choice at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest and South Pointe Hospitals along with Western Reserve Hospital. Our award winning doctors include Medical School Valedictorians, Chief Residents, Board Members of the Medial School’s Clinics and Professional Association Members. They have been internationally published in respected Podiatry books and have spoken around the country at national conferences, educating other Podiatrists on the latest advancements in Podiatry, Podiatric Surgery and Wound Management.
